Engine Block & Cylinder Head Robotic Cleaning Machine

This high pressure spray cleaning machine is a fully automatic robotic washer for cleaning engine blocks and cylinder heads. It mainly cleans the cutting oil/fluid and metal filings from the surfaces of the engine blocks and cylinder heads after machining. Since the engine block weighs 500KG and the engine cylinder head weighs 150 kg, and there are many deep holes in the engine block that are difficult to clean, GTK engineers have specially designed a special cleaning process to meet the cleaning needs of these heavy-duty parts.

How Do Work?

• Robotic arm places the workpiece into the internal bracket of the cleaning machine and the sealing door at the top of the chamber closes automatically.
• Inside the cleaning chamber, the workpiece is automatically fixed by the telescopic rods on both sides,then the bracket slides downwards.
• Driven by the telescopic rods, the workpiece starts to rotate, and the horizontally moving circular spray nozzles begin direct spray cleaning on the four surfaces of the workpiece.
• Following the circular spray cleaning, the robot performs targeted scanning and direct spray cleaning on the deep holes across the four surfaces.
• Once the four surfaces are cleaned, the bracket rises to support the workpiece, the positioning rods on both sides retract, and the robot proceeds with direct spray cleaning on the two ends of the cylinder block.
• After the spray cleaning process is complete, the high-pressure air knife is activated, operating in the same sequential manner as the preceding spray cleaning steps.
• Upon completion of air knife drying, the robot automatically unloads the workpiece.
