Industrial Tote Tunnel Washing Systems

Tunnel cleaning systems are also called tunnel washers/cleaners, inline cleaners, pass-through washers and conveyor belt cleaners.

This cleaner is an automatic cleaning system that uses a high-pressure water jet system to perform continuous, automatic cleaning on industrial totes.

Equipment Process Flow:

Feeding → Pre-cleaning/Degreasing cleaning → Clean water rinsing → Powerful air drying → Discharging

First, place the totes on the conveyor belt.

Afterwards, the totes enter the cleaning chamber, where they are sprayed with high-pressure hot water with cleaning detergent to remove oil stains and stubborn dirt.

Then, they enter the rinsing chamber, where they are comprehensively sprayed with clean water to rinse off residual cleaning detergent and floating dirt.

Next, the totes enter the drying chamber, where the high-pressure hot air remove water stains on the surface of totes.

Ultimately, The cleaned and mostly dry totes are discharged via the outlet, ready for immediate transfer to the next production stage or direct reuse.

Benefits of GTK Tunnel Cleaning Systems

In the drying phase, for the efficient air-drying of high-throughput cleaned products, most manufacturers utilize multiple air compressors to operate arrays of air knives for accelerated drying. This necessitates the installation of multiple air compressors dedicated to hot air knife drying systems. A greater number of air compressors leads to higher capital expenditure on equipment and excessive noise emissions within the cleaning workshop.

To address this challenge, GTK engineers have integrated two rotary air nozzles per single air compressor. As cleaned products pass through, the rotary hot air streams generated by these dual nozzles achieve faster drying of crates. This innovative design reduces the required number of air compressors, drastically reduces workshop noise, and provides employees with a far more comfortable working environment.

With equivalent drying efficiency, reducing the number of air compressors lowers the manufacturing costs of the cleaning equipment, thereby enhancing its price competitiveness. This stands as a key factor contributing to the widespread customer preference for our equipment.

Industrial Applications

This equipment is widely utilized across industries requiring high cleanliness standards for turnover boxes.

Food and beverage industry: Cleaning plastic boxes/pallets that hold raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products.

Meat and aquatic product processing: Cleaning turnover boxes contaminated with blood and oil, often equipped with a disinfection function.

Chemical and pharmaceutical industries: Cleaning turnover boxes that contain chemical raw materials or pharmaceutical packaging containers.

Logistics and retail distribution centers: Cleaning logistics boxes and fruit/vegetable crates recycled from stores.

Automotive and manufacturing industries: Cleaning turnover boxes holding components, removing cutting fluid, oil stains, and the like.
