Ultrasonic Cleaners for Cutting Inserts Before Coating

This automatic ultrasonic cleaning machine is custom-built by GTK engineers for manufacturers of cemented carbide, cermet materials and CNC cutting inserts.

A key challenge arises with triangular or square cutting inserts during the cleaning and drying process:

（1）When the inserts are placed flat, liquid accumulates in the concave areas on their flat surfaces. When a large batch of inserts is transferred from the cleaning tank to the rinse tank, excessive residual water is carried over, which leads to liquid cross-contamination and wastage.

（2）The same problem occurs during transfer from the rinse tank to the drying tank: residual water prolongs the drying cycle, increases power consumption and even seriously compromises the final cleaning performance.

To address this issue, GTK engineers have designed a specialized insert placement method and custom loading baskets. This solution not only eliminates residual liquid carryover during the cleaning process, but also enhances cleaning cleanliness, boosts cleaning efficiency and reduces power consumption at the same time.
