What does the automatic liquid level protection system of tank ultrasonic cleaners include?
A liquid level switch, also known as a water level switch or liquid level sensor, is a control component that opens or closes an electrical circuit based on liquid height.
The automatic liquid level protection system mainly consists of the ultrasonic cleaning tank, liquid storage tank, liquid level housing and stainless steel liquid level switch. The switch is installed inside the cleaning tank or reserve tank via the dedicated level housing.
When mounting inside an ultrasonic cleaning tank, direct exposure to ultrasonic vibration impact must be avoided to prevent permanent damage to the switch. The level housing is welded roughly 100 mm above the minimum safe liquid level of the system. An 8 mm mounting hole is drilled on the top of the housing for installing the stainless steel level switch.
When the liquid level drops below the housing, the level switch cuts off the circuit and activates the water supply solenoid valve for automatic water refilling. Once the liquid reaches the high-level set point, the solenoid valve shuts off to stop refilling, allowing the heating system and water pump to resume normal operation.
Multi-tank ultrasonic cleaning machines commonly use tap water, purified water, alkaline or mild acidic water-based solvents as cleaning media. They are often combined with auxiliary processes such as spraying, jet flushing, hot soaking and air bubbling, paired with professional drying systems to form semi-automatic ultrasonic cleaning production lines.
This equipment is widely used for small-batch cleaning of circuit boards, electronic components, watch parts, stamped hardware, precision machined metal parts, jewelry, eyeglass frames, glassware and semiconductor silicon wafers.
It features customized cleaning processes, targeted performance, compact structure and simple operation. With low equipment cost and lower investment cost, it fully meets the customized cleaning requirements of different products.
A multi-tank ultrasonic cleaner is assembled with multiple stainless steel cleaning tanks. According to different cleaning workflows, each tank can be independently equipped with ultrasonic vibration, heating, air bubbling, spraying and automatic liquid level protection functions. The in-tank liquid level protection is designed to safeguard critical components including heaters, water pumps and ultrasonic transducer systems.

Ultrasonic Cleaner Q&A
Q: Are float type level switches available in normally open and normally closed types?
A: Yes, float level switches come in both normally open and normally closed configurations. They operate on magnetic induction without any mechanical connecting parts, ensuring simple structure and stable performance. As the float rises or falls with the liquid surface, the internal magnet drives the core actuator to trigger the switch signal.
Q: What are the common types of liquid level switches?
A: Level switches are categorized into contact and non-contact types.Capacitive level switches are the most widely used non-contact option, while float switches are the mainstream contact-type solution.Electrode type, electronic type and capacitive level switches can also be designed for contact installation.
Q: How to check if an ultrasonic transducer is in good condition?
A: Without professional testing instruments, you can visually inspect the surface for cracks or damage, and check the operating current for basic judgment.
Q: How to measure ultrasonic transducer parameters?
A: Professional impedance analyzers are required for accurate parameter testing and data analysis.
Q: What is the difference between a water level switch and a liquid level switch?
A: Both terms refer to the same device with identical functions.
Q: What is the working principle of a liquid level switch?
A: Also called a water level switch or liquid level sensor, it is a dedicated control device designed to monitor and regulate liquid levels in industrial tanks.
